Hey there, so for two reasons I’m moving my personal blog to www.peterjaques.com. First, I’d like to separate my personal ramblings from my professional website. Second, I’m tired of maintaining my own blog software (Movable Type), so I’m letting Blogger do it for me. So this will likely be my last post here. Please go to www.peterjaques.com from now on.
If you’re subscribed to this here blog via RSS, please subscribe to this feed instead.
Thanks
I finally created a separate site dedicated to my main musical project, the Brass Menagerie Balkan Brass Band. Here it is: brass.menazeri.com. Lemme know what you think.
By the way, I know it doesn’t look very good yet on Internet Explorer on Windows (lines above & below links—like on this page actually—and misaligned boxes). IE’s actually pretty difficult to code for. Any web designers out there wanna take a look at it & help me get it working?
In the meantime, feel free to use a browser that respects established standards (ahem), such as the free (& also more secure) Firefox.
I redesigned my pages—please let me know if you find anything broken. In particular I suspect PC Internet Explorer might have some problems (I can’t test it cos I have a Mac). Firefox (& Opera & indeed every standards-compliant browser) should be fine though.
comment (0)Just spent the last 45 minutes closing all the comments on my weblog, because I've been getting tons of spam comments. Stupid waste of my time. I guess from now on I'll just keep comments closed (as if anyone ever reads this anyway;) unless I'm really starting a discussion.
Thinking of reorienting my blog anyway, making it more creative. But there's an at-least-equal chance that it'll just continue to fester...
You can now post comments to my entries, & even subscribe to an RSS digest in your news reader, as if anyone will use that;) (Abby, I suggest NetNewsWire Lite.)
comment (2)I've just installed a new journal program, so it should be easier for me to post in the journal. Hopefully now I'll post more than once every three months;) I haven't figured out how to include the old posts, so for now you can go here.
Life's quite up in the air right now. Might move in with Tobias if i decide I can afford the rent there & if i decide i want to leave the Mission after 9 years...
