Klezmer from the Mission District, San Francisco.

[dancing the hora] Di Ganovim (The Thieves) were a joyful, exhilarating three-or-four-piece ensemble with a (mostly) traditional approach to Klezmer, though we had a strong Middle-Eastern and Balkan influence and some morsels of swing and even salsa on rare occasions. We loved to get people dancing and singing and having more fun than they wanted to. Formerly available for parties, circuseses, weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and just plain bars in San Francisco and its diaspora. Now, we've moved on to other projects, so see below if you'd like to hear us.

 upcoming shows:

  • NONE as we're all pursuing other projects now.

Vocalist and accordionista Jeanette Lewicki is also in the San Francisco Klezmer Experience, and Max & Minka International Accordion Spy Duo.

Trombonist Rick Elmore is also known as Professor Gizmo, and performs as a one-man band.

Percussionist Evan Gavriel Fiske is currently living in Jerusalem.
